Model: Joan Didion
We are not certain if Kim Kardashian's PaperMag cover broke the internet but this Celine ad campaign starring 80yrs old literary prodigy Joan Didion instantly got the fashion world talking. This ad campaign not only signifies a shift in portrayal of ageing but equates brains with beauty and more importantly was one of the first advertisement that was tailor made for social media. Read more about the significance of Celine ad campaign starring Joan Didion.
Models: Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn
Burberry Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign unites two modern British icons – Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn. While Naomi Campbell rejoins the Burberry cast for the first time since 2001 when she was featured along with Kate Moss, this campaign marks Jourdan Dunn’s fourth appearance for the iconic British label. Fashion photographer Mario Testino brings the joyous mood of the brand’s spring/summer 2015 collection with new interpretations of iconic Burberry trench coat.
Models: Justin Bieber and Lara Stone
Justin Bieber was instantly dubbed as the newface body of Calvin Klein Jeans and Underwear range. Though it was Justin Bieber's apparently photoshopped crotch which got entire social media talking, it is significant to note that the casting of the pop sensation just opened the brand to entirely new generation. Also, Lara Stone's sex quotient deserves a mention.
Model: Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne starred in yet another DKNY ad campaign, this time along with models Binx Walton, Xiao Wen, and Sam Rollingson. Cara sported tight braids as seen at the label's runway show, donning the collection’s modern classics, sporty styles and playful geometric elements.
Model: Kendall Jenner and Baptiste Giabiconi
Karl Lagerfeld 2015 ad campaign which marks Kendall Jenner's debut for the label, had accessories in technicolor hues that popped out in an otherwise monochromatic backdrop. Kendall Jenner and Baptiste Giabiconi are not the kind of models who'll blend into the background and that just brings a certain balance to the composition of whole imagery. Of course, you are looking at Kendall Jenner's fringe hair-do, but your eyes are scanning the red, blues, yellows and greens.
