While the clothes constantly keep changing with trends, the runway more or less remains the same. How long will our beloved models keep walking on the same runway? Hence, I decided to give these models a home with stunning interior decors. Just kidding! This article merely attempts to compare the colour scheme, motifs and style of runway designs seen at London Fashion Week SS16 runway with interesting interior design spaces. As a fashion designer, I’ve always drawn inspiration from the form and shapes of architectural structures and interior decor props. This article runs on reverse gear, from garments to inspiration in form of interior spaces. Cross-over of fashion with other form of art and design has always resulted in unique and innovative endeavours. From hot mess at Christopher Kane’s runway to gigantic leg-o-mutton sleeves at JW Anderson, here I bring together some of my favourite looks from LFW SS16 runway with uncannily similar interior spaces.
