Like drugs and rock-n-roll, nudity and fashion go hand-in-hand. It isn’t an ad-campaign or wardrobe malfunction that sparked the hullabaloo this time but two topless protesters who stormed into Nina Ricci SS2014 runway at Paris Fashion Week. The two bare-chested supporters of Femen, a feminist Ukrainian protest group had the messages ‘models don’t go to brothels’ and ‘fashion dictaterror’ on their naked torsos.

I am happy for the designer that the protesters were swiftly removed from the ramp and the calmness was restored. However, it’s still unclear on how the protesters surpassed the security and gained access to the ramp. The incident sends signal that it is time to revamp the security check procedure.
